What I Actually Write About
Welcome! I’m glad you came by if this is your first time. Let me quickly bring you up to speed. I write about a lot of different things, but they usually fit into a few groups. Desk and work setup: keyboards, stands, organizers, and anything else that makes it easier to sit at a computer for a long time. Hobby supplies for whatever I’ve been doing lately, like crocheting, writing in a journal, or something I saw at a craft store at 9pm on a Tuesday. Books that I’ve really read all the way through. Things for the kitchen and home that I didn’t know I needed. And random things I do every day that have become essential parts of my routine. This is where I put things that affect my daily life and have something to say about it.
How I Decide What to Review
Everything I write about is something I’ve bought myself or actively researched. I have no plans to write glowing reviews for an item I’ve never used. If I write about it, I actually have something to say about it. That means the posts come slower sometimes — and that’s fine. I’d rather write one useful thing than ten forgettable ones.
Meet Me & Everything I Do
I’m Atia—a website designer by day and a collector of hobbies I may or may not finish. My 9-to-5 keeps me busy, but the rest of my time goes to crochet projects I started with way too much confidence, books I can’t put down, documentaries I plan to watch but end up finishing during work, and trying every restaurant that shows up on my radar that sounds good. I don’t just eat anything. Being from New Orleans makes that last one very easy.
I’m also the person who will spend an unreasonable amount of time researching something before I buy it—and then have a lot of thoughts about it after. So I started writing them down here.
This isn’t a curated lifestyle blog. I’m not going to pretend everything is aesthetic and effortless. I’m just someone dealing with everyday life, trying to find what actually works, and sharing it in case it helps you too.
